Hi there, I'm looking at the Epson ET 2750 and wanted to understand if this was a suitable printer that would get intermittent use...being elderly the printer is essential at times and then may go a month at least where it lies unused....does the ink dry up at all on the heads or does it cater for such use. If this isn't the most appropriate type of printer for such intermittent use, is there a better type e.g Laser as not sure of the difference. Many thanks for your guidance.

Inkjet nozzles can be prone to drying up in rare circumstances. However, for this to happen the printer would have to be unused for at least 2-4 years before this happens.
Laser toner does not have a shelf life and therefore may be a more suitable choice for your needs.
The Xerox WorkCentre 6515DNI is a capable laser printer that would be suitable for intermittent use.

How is paper loaded to the storage tray(s)? Do you need access to the rear of the machine?

The 100 Sheet Paper Tray is located at the back of the Epson EcoTank ET-2750 and feeds the paper down through the printer.

Hi, Yes the Epson EcoTank ET-2750 includes the Auto fit feature which automatically sizes the image to fit the paper size you selected. When your on the home screen, selecting the copy option via the left and right arrow buttons on the control panel will enable you to change the paper size and select the auto fit feature.

Scanning can be done wirelessly with this machine. To start a scan you must make sure that you have installed the product software and connected the product to your computer or network.It may be necessary to restart the computer after installing software to enable scanning from the control panel. Press the left or right arrow button to select Scan and press the OK button.
