    What is AirPrint?

    Apple AirPrint allows full colour, top-quality printing from iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads directly from within many Apps available from the Apple App Store.

    To take advantage of AirPrint, your compatible printer must be connected to the same wireless network as your iOS device or Mac computer.

    AirPrint enables users to print wirelessly from within applications on Apple devices to AirPrint Compatible Printers connected to a wireless network. You can use your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to easily print via Airprint without the need to install drivers or configure the printer queue. Just tap 'print' and select your AirPrint compatible printer, and print!....It's that simple.

    What You See is What You Print

    If you can open it on your apple device, chances are you can print it with AirPrint and an AirPrint compatible printer. Airprint works with Safari, Mail, Photos, iWork, PDF's in iBooks and many third-party AirPrint compatible apps available from the app store.

    There are also a wide variety of third-party apps available to enable wireless printing through Apple devices, even to machines that are not natively AirPrint compatible printers. The Epson EcoTank ET-2850 A4 Colour Multifunction Inkjet Printer offers great value printing and is perfect for the modern home office or small to medium-sized businesses. This high-quality printer can handle different amounts of printing on different types of media and is available from Printerland.

The engineers at Epson have designed the EcoTank range to be cost-effective and better for the planet thanks to its ingenious ink tank system. The system does away with cumbersome and costly ink cartridges in favour of an ink tank system that allows for mess-free and hassle-free refilling when needed. There is no need to worry about filling with the wrong colour ink as the boffins at Epson have designed the key lock system that prevents the wrong colour ink from being placed in the wrong ink tank. With no bulky messy cartridges to replace and dispose of, not only are you going to be saving as much as 90% on your replacement ink costs, but you are helping the planet by reducing waste plastic.

Print on the go

With the latest Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, you can print from anywhere in the office. In addition, the Epson Smart Panel and Apple AirPrint apps allow you to print on the go, as well as keep an eye on your ink levels and be alerted of any problems with your machine.

The Epson EcoTank ET-2850 supports AC 100-240V 50-60Hz and AC 220-240V 50-60Hz.

Q. Is this printer compatible with Chromebook.
A.

Unfortunately the ET-2850 is not compatible with Chromebook, however there are alternative Epson printers that work with Chromebooks and ChromeOS here
Q. hi Does this printer have a USB Port for use for example a flash drive
A.

Unfortunately the Epson EcoTank ET-2850 does not feature a USB port for printing from or scanning to a USB Flash Drive. Some of the more advanced EcoTank Models, such as the Epson EcoTank ET-5850 feature this ability. Or there are other Epson printers in the WorkForce range, such as the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4820DWF which also features a USB drive at the front of the printer.
Q. Can this printer scan and photocopy?

Yes, the Epson EcoTank ET-2850 features a flatbed scanner for scanning and copying documents.
Q. Will this work without on its own without wifi thanks
A.

Yes, the Epson EcoTank ET-2850 also features a USB 2.0 interface if you wish to connect it via a wired connection directly to a single computer. You would only need to connect it to the wireless network if you require mobile printing, as the printer would need to be set up onto the same network as your mobile device.

Completely disappointed
I purchased the printer prematurely in January it's been left behind on my door even though I required a signature. Then I tried to connect to wifi but it didn't. I connected with my phone network it took ages to print a page. It completely changed my mind about Epsom.. I've asked for a refund or exchange but they refused.. So disappointed

To register for the Epson cash back it would have been helpful if the Epson instructions told you to have a copy of both the invoice and the serial number available as a file to download onto the claim form.

Save money
The most important thing for me when choosing a new printer was to save money compared to my current printer. A friend told me to look at the Epson ink tank printers as they were a lot cheaper than normal printers. Printerland came up first online and when looking at this Eco-Tank printer the savings were obvious. The inks are so much cheaper than I am used to and I am pleased that there doesn't really seem to be any downside to the cheaper inks it is just win win from what I can see
