AirPrint

What is AirPrint?
Apple AirPrint allows full colour, top-quality printing from iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads directly from within many Apps available from the Apple App Store.
To take advantage of AirPrint, your compatible printer must be connected to the same wireless network as your iOS device or Mac computer.
AirPrint enables users to print wirelessly from within applications on Apple devices to AirPrint Compatible Printers connected to a wireless network. You can use your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to easily print via Airprint without the need to install drivers or configure the printer queue. Just tap 'print' and select your AirPrint compatible printer, and print!....It's that simple.
What You See is What You Print

If you can open it on your apple device, chances are you can print it with AirPrint and an AirPrint compatible printer. Airprint works with Safari, Mail, Photos, iWork, PDF's in iBooks and many third-party AirPrint compatible apps available from the app store.

Third-Party Apps
There are also a wide variety of third-party apps available to enable wireless printing through Apple devices, even to machines that are not natively AirPrint compatible printers. By sharing a printer installed on an Apple Mac or Windows Pc over a wireless network any printer may be able to take advantage of the AirPrint features. (An additional third-party app may be required to be installed on the local machine)

Q. If you add an extra paper tray to tray can you then choose which tray to print from? eg letterhead tray 1 plain paper tray 2?

Yes, if an additional tray is added to the Xerox VersaLink C405DN, you will be able to choose which tray you wish to print from using the driver settings (providing the printer and tray are set up and configured correctly). The Xerox 550 Sheet Paper Tray (097S04400) is the correct item for this printer.

Q. Does this printer support Secure Print, i.e. allow for the provision of a pin code to release print jobs from the printer?

A. Yes, the Xerox VersaLink C405DN does have Secure Print; it also has Secure Fax, Secure Scan and Secure Email.

Q. Can you disable the USB port on the Xerox VersaLink C405?

A. Hi, Yes you can disable the USB port on the Xerox VersaLink C405. This can be done via the centerwise the online IP address for that device.

Q. Can you connect to the printer via Bluetooth?

A. Unfortunately the Xerox VersaLink C405DN does not have a Bluetooth interface. It features a USB, network and NFC interfaces as standard with mobile printing options such as Apple AirPrint, Mopria and Xerox mobile apps.

Q. what are the measurements of the printer?

A. Hi, the dimensions of the Xerox VersaLink C405DN are 432mm(W) x 540mm(D) x 599mm(H).

Q. Which printer will enlarge and reduce to any given percentage?

A. The Xerox VersaLink C405DN is able to reduce or enlarge documents from 25 - 400 %. Most multifunction laser printers are also capable of this, but if you would like advice on any other machines, our sales team would be happy to help on 0800 840 1992.

A. Hi, Yes the Xerox VersaLink C405DN supports email print.

Q. Can this mfp be used as a photocopier to enlarge a paper document original A5 size to print 140 per cent larger to A4 size?

A. Yes, the Xerox VersaLink C405DN is able to enlarge an A5 document to an A4 sized document when copying.

Customer Service

I called yesterday afternoon and spoke with Luke in sales. Luke gave me excellent help and advice which helped me choose my new printer. Luke took my order an emails in regard the order were received straight away. At 9.30am this morning a knock at the door and my printer was being unloaded. At 11.30am this morning the printer was installed however it was not working properly. I called and spoke with Andy in Customer Services. Not 10 minutes on the telephone with Andy and we had exchanged emails showing the problem and he had sent an email showing me how to resolve the problem.
