    What is AirPrint?

    Apple AirPrint allows full colour, top-quality printing from iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads directly from within many Apps available from the Apple App Store.

    To take advantage of AirPrint, your compatible printer must be connected to the same wireless network as your iOS device or Mac computer.

    AirPrint enables users to print wirelessly from within applications on Apple devices to AirPrint Compatible Printers connected to a wireless network. You can use your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to easily print via Airprint without the need to install drivers or configure the printer queue. Just tap 'print' and select your AirPrint compatible printer, and print!....It's that simple.

    What You See is What You Print

    If you can open it on your apple device, chances are you can print it with AirPrint and an AirPrint compatible printer. Airprint works with Safari, Mail, Photos, iWork, PDF's in iBooks and many third-party AirPrint compatible apps available from the app store.

    Third-Party Apps

    There are also a wide variety of third-party apps available to enable wireless printing through Apple devices, even to machines that are not natively AirPrint compatible printers. (An additional third-party app may be required to be installed on the local machine)

Q. Does the printer only connect wirelessly or does it have an RJ45 port?

As standard, the Xerox B310 features the following connectivity options: USB, Ethernet (RJ45), Wireless & Wi-Fi Direct.
Q. Does the printer print on OHP film?
A.

Unfortunately the Xerox B310 does not support OHP Film. It supports the following media types: Plain Paper, Recycled Paper, Bond, Envelopes, Rough Envelopes, Letterhead, Pre-Printed, Coloured Paper, Light Paper, Heavy Paper and Rough Cotton. If you would like any advice on machines that support printing onto film or transparencies, our Sales Team would be happy to help on 0800 840 1992.
Q. Does it scan and copy?

The Xerox B310 is a single function laser printer, so it only has the ability to print. It's multifunction equivalent, would be the Xerox B305, which features similar printing specifications, but also features the ability to scan and copy.
Q. Is the multi-purpose tray included?
A.

Yes, the Xerox B310 features a 250 Sheet Input Tray and a 100 Sheet Multipurpose Tray as standard.
Q. Does this printer take A5?
A. Yes the Xerox B310 supports A5 media. It is capable of handling media between 99 x 148 mm and 215.9 x 359.9 mm.

A. The Xerox B310 is compatible with Windows 11.
Q. Is this model suitable for college university students? Since I have got lots of prints to do every now and then I am looking for a cheap cost per page. Will the starting cartridge ink stay fresh for atleast a year? Or is there risk of drying up if not used within a certain period of time?
A. The Xerox B310 is suitable for university students and offers low cost per page running costs. The toner cartridges are made of powder rather than liquid so do not risk drying out. The toner cartridges should easily last over a year between prints provided the printer is stored in suitable conditions.
Q. Does this printer have a manual feed in tray suitable for printing heavier cardstock?
A. The Xerox B310 multipurpose tray can accept the follow media types up to a maximum thickness of 217gsm; Plain Paper, Recycled, Bond, Envelopes, Rough Envelopes, Letterhead, Pre-Printed, Coloured Paper, Light Paper, Heavy Paper, Rough Cotton, Envelope.

Really really good company

No 5ghz wifi a swine to set up
Hard to set up wifi connection. Turns out that 5ghz wifi isn't supported which is astonishing given how many years this has been the default for most routers users Printer threw lots of errors when setting up for the first time. Added the same correct details several times restarted my laptop and it eventually worked. Perhaps poor buggy code and a poor UI played a part. Once working it's fast and has good print quality which is the most important thing to get right.

How do I place an order for supplies?

Once your PagePack contract is registered, you will get your personal log in details to the Xerox Customer Portal, through which you will be able to place your orders online 24/7. Orders can also be placed over the phone by contacting the Consumable Ordering team. Once the order is in place, you will receive the supplies straight to your delivery address at no extra cost, typically within 48 hours If MeterAssistant is installed you will not be required to provide meter reads at the time of placing your orders, therefore we highly recommend MeterAssistant is installed when the device.
