Unfortunately the Lexmark CS510de is only a single function printer and the Lexmark MX510de is the multifunction equivalent to the CS510de. The MX510de is able to scan and copy multiple documents at a time with a speed of up to 42 documents per seconds.

What is the difference between this and the CS410n?

The CS410n has a 2.4" Colour Display, whereas the CS510de has a 4.3" Colour Touchscreen. The CS410n has a 256mb RAM with a maximum memory capability of 2304mb, whereas the CS510de has a 512mb RAM with a maximum memory capability of 2580mb. As well as this, this model can duplex print automatically whereas the CS410n cannot. Finally, the CS510de has a monthly duty cycle of 85k pages per month (based on a 5% coverage on plain a4), whereas the CS410n has a monthly duty cycle of 75k pages per month.

Can you explain what DPI means and what it's relevance is?

DPI stands for dots per inch, and it is referring to the output resolution of your printer. The higher the DPI, the clearer and better your printed images and documents will be.

Is the memory on this printer better than the CS410?

Yes the memory in the Lexmark CS510de colour printer is 512MB as standard and the memory in the Lexmark CS410 is only 256MB.

Yes the Lexmark CS510de colour printer is the next model up from the Lexmark CS410dn colour printer. It is cheaper to run, has double the amount of memory and comes shipped with a lot more toner.

Will this printer print double sided? I'm printing on quite thick paper, will it handle it?

The Lexmark CS510de can print double sided. It can handle up to 176gsm thickness on single sided printing jobs. It can only handle up to 105gsm on double sided documents.
