Q. Would this printer be compatible with a Chromebook?

A. As the Kyocera FS-1220MFP only features USB connectivity, you would need to connect the printer directly to your Chromebook via a USB 2.0 cable. (You may need an adapter, as it depends on what kind of port your Chromebook provides.) Whilst there are no specific print drivers for Chromebooks, once the printer is physically connected, you should be able to open your Chromebook’s settings and add the printer. This can be done as easily as typing “print” into the search box, selecting “Printers,” and then clicking the “Add Printer” button. Then, select your printer’s name, and click the “Add” button to finish. You should then be able to complete all your printing tasks.

Q. How does the printer handle scanned images pages? Does it generate PDFs or jpeg files etc?

A. The Kyocera FS-1220MFP is capable of producing the following file formats when scanning: BMP, TIFF, JPG, PDF, PNG.

Q. Is the machine compatible with an iPad Air iOS 14.3 for air printing and scanning .

A. The Kyocera FS-1220MFP does not support Apple Airprint. However, the Kyocera ECOSYS M2135dn is capable of Apple Airprint from iOS devices.

Q. Does this printer connect with AirPrint?

A. The Kyocera FS-1220MFP is does not feature Apple AirPrint. This models replacement, the Kyocera ECOSYS M2135dn A4 Mono Multifunction Laser Printer, does support Apple AirPrint.

Q. Hello. Can yo connect to the printer via WiFi?

A. No the Kyocera FS-1220MFP does not have wireless functionality, it features USB connectivity only. Please see the following page for our full list of Wireless Kyocera Laser Printers.

Q. Does this printer have to have a colour ink cartridge? Or can it be used with black toner only if not need for colour? I need a printer/scanner/copier that uses black ink - do not need colour

Simply perfect

I'd been desperately searching for a basic three in one printer with no real need for colour printing. After searching in Google it seemed too good to be true that I found an excellent printer at a excellent price from printerland.co.uk Frankly I was suspicious but my fears were completely unfounded. I called up and asked about the product - I got through to an advisor straightaway who answered my questions and after some research I was happy to purchase. Confirmation came through straightaway. I called up to confirm the order and yet again got through right away and the agent confirmed it. The delivery arrived the next day the product itself is stunning and works exactly as I expected it to and what's more it didn't cost an arm and a leg. I am extremely happy with the product and service I received from printerland.co.uk and would definitely 100-percent buy from them again

Good for the price

Seems decent but can't comment on reliability yet. One drawback is with manual duplexing it sometimes fails to pull the pages through on the second round due to the paper curling. Tried with Windows 10 and Mac M1 and worked fine with both. Comes with CD but drivers and CD ISO are available online. Mac driver is a bit more limited as it doesn't offer manual duplexing option.

Outstanding service.
