Making life simpler

On top of its user-friendly print, scan, copy and fax functions, the device also benefits from a range of other well considered design features. A. Yes, the Kyocera ECOSYS M5521cdw supports media up to 220gsm. Toner cartridges come in two sizes; Standard TK-5220 Toner Cartridges have a capacity of 1,200 pages in CMYK and High Capacity TK-5230 Toner Cartridges have a yield of 2,200 pages in CMY and 2,600 pages in black. Please note, yields are declared by the manufacturer in accordance with ISO/IEC standards or based on a 5% per page coverage. Page yields will vary depending on content, coverage, print modes and other environmental conditions.

Q. Should I order additional memory to upgrade from 512 Mb to 1 Gb for the M5521cdw colour laser printer that I have just ordered?

A. The additional 1GB memory upgrade is only really necessary if printing a high volume of large graphics files.

Q. Can this machine print booklets ?

A. The Kyocera ECOSYS M5521cdw does support booklet printing. It is able to print 2 in 1 and 4 in 1 booklet combinations.

Q. is this printer compatible with 5ghz wifi

A. The Kyocera Ecosys M5521cdw is not compatible with 5ghz wifi. Unfortunately Kyocera have no printer models that are compatible with 5ghz wifi in their current range. Kind Regards

Q. Hi does this printer do double sided scanning? could i scan and save a document consisting of multiple two sided pages?

A. The Kyocera ECOSYS M5521cdw isn't able to scan double-sided documents automatically, but you can scan each side of the page manually and save them in the same document.

Q. I understand that this model doesn't have built-in wifi. But if it is connected by cable to a network that also has wifi devices connected to it then presumably in effect it becomes possible to print over wifi from those devices?

Nice printer but no duplex scanning...

Great service from Printerland and I am reasonably happy with the printer. It was quite complicated to set up but the technical support was good. Print quality is good and time will tell about economy of cartridges. I was very disappointed that the machine won't scan double sided documents. This wasn't particularly clear in the description and seems like a basic feature the machine will copy and print double sided This does make some jobs quite time intensive and unnecessarily frustrating. I probably wouldn't have bought this model if I had known.

So far good.

I ordered this printer on Thursday afternoon and received it before midday on Monday. Very good delivery service to Northern Ireland especially with all the difficulties the Northern Ireland protocol is causing. Very pleased with the service I received from Printerland. Set up was fairly straight forward using the drivers and software on the supplied CD. I have used the print and scan functions without any problems. The new quick scan software on the disk has made scanning easier to setup judging by some previous comments made with regards to kyocera printers. I like to scan from within paint but haven't managed to get that setup yet. I don't know if it will be possible. All in all I'm pleased with this printer so far although it's early days yet as I only received it today.
