Whilst we can't advise on specific media types, this printer is compatible with plain cardstock. The printer will automatically adjust itself and choose the most suitable inks to use based on the paper settings you choose within the driver when printing.

Why doesn't my printer produce the same colours as those represented on my computer? I purchased my printer from your company and unfortunately I have used it very little as I have spent more time binning the end product and wasting ink. I was hoping to have started a little business reproducing prints from originals but have failed to reproduce accurately my clients work, hence venture shelved.

There are always discrepancies between what you see on screen and what is printed due to the differences between colours produced by light and those by ink. There shouldn't be a monumental difference but you may wish to look into colour calibration tools in order to minimise these variations. Epson will be able to advise on options for your printer and can be reached directly on 0871 222 6702.

Does this printer have internal ink pads that will require replacing once they have filled up. If this is the case how long will you be supplying the ink pads for as my Epson 2100 is now unusable as I cannot get replacement pads and the internal software insists the pads must be replaced. Even an official Epson dervice centre cannot get replacement pads.

The ink pads are not a replacement consumable item that we provide. They are an internal part which under normal operation would last for the lifetime of the printer. Most users will not receive the error message before the printer needs replacing for other reasons. Some high volume users or those who use it for many years may receive this message before other parts reach the end of their life.
