The EcoTank ET-5800 is one of Epson's most advanced printers, producing professional-grade results at ultra fast speeds. It uses market leading inkjet technology to achieve a resolution of up to 4,800 x 2,400 dpi - resulting in crisp and defined text and vivid, beautiful imagery.

In addition to high quality prints, the Epson EcoTank ET-5800 offers a competitively fast printing speed, producing up to 22 pages per minute of colour prints and up to 32 pages per minute of black and white. You also won't need to make frequent trips to the infill tray; the Epson EcoTank ET-5800 comes with two 250 sheet paper trays built in, and a 50 sheet rear feed. This makes it ideal for handling longer jobs.

Q. Is scanner system is available

Yes, the Epson EcoTank ET-5800 features a flatbed scanner and a 50-sheet duplex automatic document feeder for scanning and copying.

Q. When it says scan to memory device does that mean I can scan to a USB stick?

Yes, the Epson EcoTank ET-5800 is capable of scanning to a USB memory stick.

Q. Does this printer come with ink ?

A. Yes, the Epson EcoTank ET-5800 comes with CMY Ink Bottles (2800 Pages)* and a Black Ink Bottle (4500 Pages)*.
*Please note, some of the ink will be used during the set-up process. Actual page counts will vary slightly from these estimates.

Q. What is the maximum paper weight for each of the paper trays?

A. The bypass Tray and Trays 1 and 2 can accept from 60gsm -220 gsm.

Q. i'm looking for a printer which can easily print both a4 and a5 without having to change over the paper each time. Would the epson ET-5800 be able to? If you have A4 inn one tray and A5 in another, how does the printer know which tray is the correct one to use?

A. Yes, the Epson EcoTank ET-5800 features two separate trays which can handle A4, A5, A6, B6, B5, No. 10 (Envelope), DL (Envelope), C6 (Envelope), C4 (Envelope), Letter and Legal media sizes. If the trays are set up correctly then the printer will try to determine which tray it needs to print from, but we would always recommend double-checking the print settings to ensure the right tray is selected. You can also change or select the tray you wish to print from in the driver settings.

Printer review

You get a lot of printer and ink for your money. Huge paper capacity fast printing crystal clear scanning of multiple pages and the best part is you get a huge amount of ink included and its really cheap to replace. Epson also provide a 5 year warranty which gives you peace of mind and protection should something go wrong. So far though the printer has been perfect

Epson ET-5800

One of the standout features of this printer are the two large trays that it comes with as standard. We hadn t purchased this because of the two trays as previously we used a printer with one but its has become a real asset. We didn t know what we were missing before but now that we have two trays we have the ability to use our letterheaded paper far more efficiently than before. For any business looking to buy a printer if you print on letterheaded paper or have a cover sheet to your jobs this will massively help you as you can store it in one tray and your main paper in the other.

Epson review

We do a lot of printing so the cost of inks was a top priority. The inks for this printer are cheaper than any we have come across for any of our previous printers so as long as the printer itself was up to the task it was the perfect choice. The printer is very good more than quick enough with plenty of paper storage and lots of features. We would buy another without hesitation if we needed another printer and would certainly recommend this model to others

Smooth process brilliant printer

The whole process could not be smoother. Printerland s site is extremely helpful in helping you choose a printer. There are so many it s a minefield but their website has a clever search option where you choose what you need and it shows you the options. Using this we quickly narrowed our options to a couple of models but the dual paper tray low print costs and long warranty meant this is the printer we selected. Delivery was quick as was setting the printer up. Lots of users connect to the printer without much setup and printing is done quickly without fuss. Copying is also really easy and also completed quickly to a very high standard. Excellent printer definitely recommended.

Bought this many months ago and still going as strong as when we first set it up. No problems with drying inks like other inkjet printers owned. Lots of ink supplied but we bought extras with them being so cheap. Have already recommended this machine to others
