The only differences between the Canon i-SENSYS MF744Cdw and Canon i-SENSYS MF742Cdw are that the MF744Cdw features a duplex ADF for automatic double-sided scanning and also includes the ability to fax. The MF742Cdw features a simplex ADF and has no fax function, but the rest of the specification is the same.

Q. Can you please describe the 3 year warranty? Is it on-site or return to base? Is it possible to extend it when you get to year 3?

Great printer

Seems to be a very good printer, fast start up to first print and plenty of features. The only slight negative is that the setup isn't always particularly well thought out, for example the port to use for SMTP is in an entirely different (and fairly well hidden) part of the setup menus.

Ordering and purchasing was quick and easy from Printerland. After a hiccup where a second set of toners were delivered instead of the printer, the Canon i-SENSYS MF744Cdw was duly delivered the following day. The MFP was easy to set up in a small home/office and has proven to be an excellent purchase. Prints are very good and scanning is quick and easy
