Q. Hi - is there any warranty with this machine?

Yes, the Brother MFC-J5730DW comes with a 12 Month Warranty as standard.

Q. Can you print A3 via the trays (do the trays fit A3 paper) or does A3 have to be fed through the top?

A. Hi, Yes you can load A3 media in the standard tray and multipurpose tray.

Q. Does this print borderless A4 and A3?

A. Hi, Unfortunately the Brother MFC-J5730DW does not support borderless printing.

Q. Hi i just want to clarify that this printer will print in A3 and A4 but will only scan and copy A4? Also if this printer was to run out of colour toners would we still be able to print in mono?

A. Hi, Yes the Brother MFC-J5730DW will only print A3. It will scan, copy and fax up to A4. Unfortunately the Brother MFC-J5730DW does not support the run black feature. If you would like to receive recommendations on printers which allow you to continue printing in mono when all colour toners are expended, you can call our Sales Team on 0800 840 1992.

Q. Does this support double sided scanning to file/print?

A. Hi, Yes the Brother MFC-J5730DW supports double sided scanning to both file and print.

Q. When you say it has an A4 footprint do you mean the scanner bed is A4? But to confirm, the printer will print A3 size? and it has an A4 and A3 paper tray?

A. An A4 footprint means that the Brother MFC-J5730DW is able to print onto A3 media, but the model is still as small as an A4 machine. This model can scan, copy and fax up to A4 sized media. It includes two 250 Sheet trays and a 100 Sheet Mutlipurpose tray, all of which can handle media up to A3 in size.

Q. Answer to previous question said max. paper weight was 80gsm. Surely spec. says 256?

A. Hi, the maximum paper weight the Brother MFC-J5730DW can take is 260gsm.

Q. Will this connect to my desktop with ethernet cable and what is max paper weight

A. The Brother MFC-J5730DW does have a Network interface so an Ethernet cable will work. The maximum paper weight is 80gsm

Business Smart, Personal Achiever

Bought the MFC-J5730DW to replace an HP Printer and what a surprise this machine out smarts out prints and is half the price of the HP This machine comes as a Business Smart machine and it is but for personal use in the home every base is covered and the output is phenominal. Oh Brother... what a great printer

Great Value & Quality A4/A3 Printer

I have been very pleased with the performance and features of this printer over 9 months of use since purchase. The printer has worked faultlessly and uses very little ink. My usage is mainly for business documents and spreadsheets but quality was high enough with colour to print wedding invitations for a friend. I would certainly recommend this product. The only minor issue I could make is occasionally when printing reports the sheets in the out tray can push out unevenly and sometimes over spill onto the floor. The double sided printing works very well saving on paper use and my laptop & devices easily linked on wifi. Before this I was only able to print A4 sheets so now having the option to print on A3 makes viewing large spread sheets and timing plans a lot easier. One happy customer!! Ian Wilson

Excellent Product

I found the website description for model MFCJ5730 to be very informative and accurate. Delivery was extremely efficient and set-up of the machine was quick, using the easy to follow instructions. Early days, but up-to-now, I am very pleased with my purchase of the Brother MFCJ5730 Printer.

Great Printer

Used as a personal desk printer. Scans, copies and prints great. For data and general printing it is perfect. If printing imagery it can be slightly blurred around the edges and so I wouldn't recommend it for photo printing or image printing. Not noisy. Really easy to set up.
