Q. Does this have a double sided scanner options specifically you feed the item into the document feeder and it will scan both sides without having to do it manually?

A. The Brother DCP-L3510CDW features a flatbed scanner only so unfortunately documents would need to be scanned manually. However, the Brother MFC-L3770CDW is a similar printer which does feature a 50 Sheet DADF which is capable of scanning double-sided documents automatically.

Q. What toner s are shipped with the printer please? How long will they last? Thanks

A. The Brother DCP-L3510CDW comes with CMYK starter toner cartridges able to produce up to 1000 pages. Please note, page yields are estimates declared by the manufacturer based on ISO/IEC standards or a 5% per page coverage. Yields may vary depending on image type, area coverage, print mode and environmental conditions.

Q. can this printer scan several pages at once?

A. Unfortunately the Brother DCP-L3510CDW features a flatbed scanner which can only scan one page at a time. However there is another printer in this range which features a 50 sheet ADF for scanning multi-page documents, which is the Brother DCP-L3550CDW.

Q. Can the Brother DPC-L3510CDW be MANUALLY set for black(mono) printing only. Many thanks

A. The Brother DPC-L3510CDW can be manually set for mono printing via the printer preferences menu. Brother technical support are on hand to provide more information and can be contacted on 0333 777 4444.

A. Hi, the drum life of the Brother DCP-L3510CDW is 18,000 pages.

Q. Does the Brother DCP-L3510CDW default to printing in B&W when colour toners are empty?

A. Hi, Yes this printer has the option to keep on printing black and white, even if the colour toners are empty and need to be replaced.

Q. Hello! Is there a setting I can change on the BROTHER DCP-L3510CDW whereby I can ask it to scan a double-sided document into one document? I know doesn't have this automatically.

A. The Brother DCP-L3510CDW is not capable of double-sided scanning automatically, but this can be done via a more manual process. Scanning one-sided documents can be saved as a two-sided file.

Great Replacement For Inkjet Printer When Using Linux

Brother is one of the manufacturers that have good support for those with computers using Linux. This is a cost effective colour laser printer from this manufacturer that prints double sided copies and scans with great results. Upsides are that following the Brother web instructions it is relatively easy to add the printer to your Linux machine even for a newcomer like me. Then you can scan to pc simply by pressing button on printer. Tips a Use the printer menu to get the WiFi connected b Set pc to automatically run scan program at boot if you want it to always be there else run it manually. Downsides - not found any yet. Remember if you have to it will work with Windows systems as well

Excellent customer service

Ordered on 18th pm received the next day am. I wasn't aware that the printer I was buying included the cartridges so I bought the package with a set of cartridges. It is fine as I have spares. it was also very straight forward to set up. It was ready to use in no time. Very pleased with my Brother printer. Excellent service thank you.
