    What is AirPrint?

    Apple AirPrint allows full colour, top-quality printing from iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads directly from within many Apps available from the Apple App Store.

    To take advantage of AirPrint, your compatible printer must be connected to the same wireless network as your iOS device or Mac computer.

    AirPrint enables users to print wirelessly from within applications on Apple devices to AirPrint Compatible Printers connected to a wireless network. You can use your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to easily print via Airprint without the need to install drivers or configure the printer queue. Just tap 'print' and select your AirPrint compatible printer, and print!....It's that simple.

    What You See is What You Print

    If you can open it on your apple device, chances are you can print it with AirPrint and an AirPrint compatible printer. Airprint works with Safari, Mail, Photos, iWork, PDF's in iBooks and many third-party AirPrint compatible apps available from the app store.

    Third-Party Apps

    There are also a wide variety of third-party apps available to enable wireless printing through Apple devices, even to machines that are not natively AirPrint compatible printers. By sharing a printer installed on an Apple Mac or Windows Pc over a wireless network any printer may be able to take advantage of the AirPrint features. (An additional third-party app may be required to be installed on the local machine)

This printer has an output speed of up to 47 pages per minute. It is capable of double-sided printing, and has a USB port to print files from a thumb drive.

The device has an adjustable sheet tray which allows you to use papers of varying dimensions ranging between sizes A6 and legal. The tray can hold up to 550 sheets of paper, and has a multipurpose sheet feeder which holds around 100 sheets.

Q. Is there scanning facility?
A. The Lexmark B2650dw is a single function printer and is not capable of scanning. The Lexmark MB3442adw A4 Mono Multifunction Laser Printer is an alternative model capable of Print/Scan/Copy/Fax.

Mono laser
Good printer, a little slow on first page, and the menu structure is far from clear, but the print is good and the toner cartridge seems to be lasting a goodly time. The auto double-side function is particularly useful, but I wish the selection of the by-pass tray was easier. I might have passed this one over had I known about this. Quality of the machine seems good, apart from the tendency of the on/off switch to stick. All in all, I'm happy with the printer, 'it does what it says on the tin'

Printerland recommended this to me and I'm very happy about that. Never had a Lexmark before, but this seems to be quicker to receive jobs through the rather clunky office network in our portacabin, and quicker to actually print. Waiting to see if toner use is as good as has been suggested, but every reason so far to be optimistic about that.
