The Fujitsu fi-7460 is a compact scanner which can handle high volumes of documents at speed.
Speed and range
The fi-7460 can scan up to 120 images per minute, in colour, grayscale, and monochrome. The smallest scanner in the A3 class, the fi-7460 can handle paper sizes ranging from A8 to A3 as well as folded A2 documents and plastic cards. Pre-sorting is rendered unnecessary by mixed-batch scanning functionality.
In addition, the DADF (duplex automatic document feeder) will take 100 sheets of A4, landscape, and extra papers can safely be added during scanning. The fi-7460 wakes from sleep mode in a second or less, cutting down on time spent waiting for readiness.
Document security
Multifeed detection and iSOP protects important documents and the hardware itself by detecting creases, wrinkles or potentially damaging objects like paper clips. A single scan mode stops the scanning process after each scan so users can check the progress of particularly delicate tasks.
Cutting edge image processing
The fi-7460 comes with PaperStream, the latest technology in image processing. Documents are automatically enhanced adding clarity to unclear characters and regularity to varied colour backgrounds, for smoother reproduction and reduced file size.
All TWAIN applications are compatible out of the box. An Assisted Scan function removes the hassle of driver setup: pick which images need replacing or capturing through a simple visual interface which also tracks user changes in real-time, meaning there’s no need to rescan when an error is found.
Reduced learning curve
PaperStream Capture creates a thumbnail and profile system which will handle the most basic tasks immediately and allow users to easily modify settings via a wizard for more specific, complex tasks. Advanced document sorting is available through PaperStream Capture. Documents can be sorted according to blank pages, page numbers, patch codes, Zonal OCR, and barcodes. Any combination of these values can be used to index documentation, or the barcodes and Zonal OCR can be extracted as data if needed. Batches of already scanned documents can be saved for later retrieval.
