The Canon PIXMA MG4250 brings lab quality photo reproduction into the home. This is achieved by using Canon’s FINE printhead technology, which uses microscopic nozzles that are just 0.009mm in diameter to create 4,800 dpi images without increasing the volume of ink required.
When combined with the optional high volume FINE ink cartridges, the PIXMA MG4250 can print up to 600 monochrome pages and up to 400 colour pages, making this little printer one of the most efficient photo quality printers available on the market.

The Canon FINE cartridge system also helps reduce print costs because it contains just two cartridges. A single tricolour cartridge which contains cyan, magenta and yellow along with a separate black cartridge which contains pigment based ink for clear text reproduction.
Most private label cartridges and refills use dye based ink which is too thick for the Canon FINE printhead. This results in blocked nozzles which can cause blotches, blurring and spots to appear on printed images and also causes the printer to overheat, significantly shortening its lifespan.
