The Brother MFC-J5320 is a high-end business focused multifunction inkjet printer which includes copy, scan, and fax as well as A3 printing, a front USB port, wireless capability (Wi-Fi), and automatic double-sided (duplex) printing. In short, it's a feature-packed printing genius machine and, to make the most of what it has to offer, it's vital to have ink that's as outstanding as the device it's working within.
Four ink professional printing process
The Brother MFC-J5320 uses an advanced four ink printing process, more commonly found until recently in professional presses. Using this process has a number of advantages, most notably an increase in printing quality (especially colour fidelity and black depth).
An additional benefit of using separate ink cartridges for black, blue (cyan), yellow, and red (magenta) is that it avoids the problem of throwing away a half-full multicolour ink cartridge just because one of the colours has been used up. With the four-ink system - as employed in this printer - each ink has it's own separate cartridge, so you only replace the ink you have used, saving both the environment and your print budget.
High capacity cartridges
For intensive print users, Brother manufacture high capacity, high-yield ink cartridges capable of up to 2,400 pages (black) or 1,200 pages (colour) printing before running out. These offer more than double the print yield of their standard size counterparts (for the black cartridge, the increase is from 550 pages to 2,400), at little more than a 50% price increase. So it's easy to see how these can present a significant saving.
Multi-packs
Multi-packs of standard and high-yield black and colour ink cartridges are also available. Provided you have somewhere cool and safe to store the spare cartridges before you need them, these represent an opportunity for a great deal for the savvy consumer.
