The Brother DCP-J315W is optimised for use with genuine Brother ink cartridges, these cartridges use specially formulated ink which allows your DCP-J315W to calculate the ink mixture required to print beautiful true colour images and graphics.
Genuine Brother ink cartridges are also designed to allow the optimum flow of ink through the printhead, which helps ensure even ink distribution across the page and reduces the risk of clogging and smearing at the printhead.
Genuine Brother ink cartridges and printers are also calibrated to allow the ink to penetrate the page and dry in the time it takes for the page to move through the print mechanism. If this step moves out of sync, the page will move through the print process before drying, which can result in smearing.
