    What is AirPrint?

    Apple AirPrint allows full colour, top-quality printing from iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads directly from within many Apps available from the Apple App Store.

    To take advantage of AirPrint, your compatible printer must be connected to the same wireless network as your iOS device or Mac computer.

    AirPrint enables users to print wirelessly from within applications on Apple devices to AirPrint Compatible Printers connected to a wireless network. You can use your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to easily print via Airprint without the need to install drivers or configure the printer queue. Just tap 'print' and select your AirPrint compatible printer, and print!....It's that simple.

    Once you’ve enabled the 'Printer Skill' from your Amazon Alexa app printing becomes just as easy as talking. You can print various pre-formatted documents such as shopping lists, calendars, puzzles or even colouring pages - and all you need to do is ask!


    How to Print

    Firstly, you’d need to obtain your printers email address to link it to Alexa. This can be located via your printers control panel, or by printing off a Web Services information sheet.

    Now you can enable the Print Skill from your smartphone or tablet using the Alexa App, or you can enable this skill via the Amazon website if you’re using a computer.

    Then all you need to do is enter the email address for you printer, tap finish and start printing.

    You can now ask your Echo or other Alexa device to print straight to your printer:


    “Alexa, ask my Printer to…” and then follow with the content you wish to print. It’s as simple as that.

Q. Canon maxify GX6050. Are the ink absorption pads replaceable or does it mean that when they are full of ink the printer is useless?
A. The Canon MAXIFY GX6050 uses a replaceable maintenance cartridge to collect excess ink and ensures optimal print operations.
Q. Does the GX6050 come with ink pre-installed or do I have to buy it separately? Also you do not appear to have black ink in stock so can the printer not be used at all until this is available?
A. The Canon MAXIFY GX6050 is shipped with high yield CMYK ink bottles. The Canon MAXIFY GX6050 requires all 4 ink bottles in order to function.

A. The Canon MAXIFY GX6050 is not capable of double-sided scanning. However, the Canon MAXIFY GX7050 is capable of double sided scanning thanks to the 50 sheet DADF.

Perfect home small office printer
Following a fair bit of research chose this as it offered - reasonable print speeds full duplex auto printing ink tanks for reduced costs 1200dpi print and scan ADF support for numerous Wi-Fi print protocols esp. AirPrint. First impressions are great. Speedy top quality printing - documents with graphics and photos on the right paper. Not a pro photo printer better inks are available for that but I wanted a well built home office devices that scans and copies and it s all of that. Seems very well built compared to others I looked at.

A great buy
I selected this from the Printerland website as it was described given comprehensively and clearly plus the price beat all the competition. Ii arrived next day as promised. I hadn't been looking forward to going through the initial the set-up connection procedure as my experience with previous printers was often less than straightforward. However I was amazed at just how easy and non-problematic it proved The accompanying Canon booklet gave clear step-by-step instructions and the whole procedure went smoothly. The operation touch screen is a good size and adjustable for optimum view. The printer certainly lives up to expectations so far in terms of print speed and output quality and I fully expect to make a very significant saving on ink costs in comparison with the cartridge-based printers I used previously. Very pleased

Excellent product delivered on time
The printer was a dream to set up and the first print results look great. Looking forward to the savings from using an ink tank system. The printer was smaller than I expected so that's a bonus. The only feature that would hve helped would hve been dual side copy.

Canon MAXIFY GX6050 Printer
Been looking to replace an elderly HP all in one printer with the cost of cartridges a mega tank printer was the way to go.After a lot of research decided the GX6050 was perfect for my needs. What to like so many I could list duplex printing having ADF multiple scanning being able to print from my phone the large 250 sheet enclosed paper cassette easy fill ink tanks from the bottles no mess another big plus point is having a user replacable maintenance cartridge just brilliant. Print quailty is excellent sharp no bleed on my usual Navigator Expression 90 gsm paper superb paper not dusty chalky like some brands . Can't comment on wi-fi performance as printer is networked. Expensive printer but well worth the outlay having bottles should help save you money in the long term. Superb service from Printerland from ordering to the quick delivery would recommend them to anyone.

Canon GX6050 Printer
This has been so far an excellent printer to run. Economical in terms of bottle refills which last a long time. The maintenance tray needs replacing more frequently and is sometimes out of stock so make sure you have a one to hand for when you need it. Print quality is fast and good when used as an office printer. Photo printing quality is less good but this is not it's primary strength. This printer replaces an older Maxify which took cartridges and lasted many years. Build quality is good and it has a small footprint.

Most items are shipped to you via ‘Next Working Day’ courier service. The cut-off for next working day delivery is 4:30pm. In the event of an item not being available via this service, we will endeavour to contact you at the earliest opportunity.

We also deliver to the Channel Islands, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and Eire. Areas such as the Scottish Highlands or where a body of water is crossed are subject to a 2-3 working day delivery time.
