HP P4015 Mono Laser Printer Review

To believe in the unusual printing quality and paper input capacity of the new HP Laserjet P4015n Laser Printer, you will have to see it yourself. It is a very compatible printer for any of your PCs and moreover it consumes very less power for printing.

HP Laserjet P4015n Monochrome Laser Printer is a workgroup laser. It has the dimensions as 39.4cm x 41.9cm x 45cm. It weighs 25.8kg.

It offers a maximum resolution of 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi. Its print speed is 50 ppm. There is also option for automatic duplex printing. It is supported with a standard post script. The used language simulations are PCL 5E, PostScript 3 and PCL 6. It is installed with a processor the speed of which is 540 MHz. The DDR2 RAM installed has a speed of 128 MB which can be extended to 640 MB. Its built in devices consists of status LCD and USB hub.

The offered interfaces are USB and Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T. The total (free) expansion slot available is 2 (1) memory – SO DIMM 144-PIN.

The types of media supported by this HP printer are envelopes, transparencies, labels, plain paper and cards. The maximum media custom size possible is 216 mm x 356 mm. The other supported media sizes are ANSI A (Letter) (216 x 279 mm), Legal (216 x 356 mm), Executive (184 x 267 mm), A4 (210 x 297 mm), A5 (148 x 210 mm), JIS B5 (182 x 257 mm), Statement (139.7 x 215.9 mm) and 76 x 127 mm.

The total media capacity comes to 600 sheets while its maximum media capacity viable is 3600 sheets. The output tray capacity is 600 sheets. It allows a monthly duty cycle of 225000 pages.

It exhibits a print server networking. The given data link protocols are Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet. The included consumable is 1 x toner cartridge (black). The required voltage comes to AC 120 V while the needed frequency is 50/60 Hz. When printing it consumes a power of 840watt and at sleep mode only 12 watt is consumed. The minimum operating temperature is 10 °C while maximum is 32.2 °C. Its operating humidity range should be 10 – 80%. While printing it emits a sound of 58dBA.

The required operating systems are Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Apple Mac OS X 10.2.8, Apple Mac OS X 10.3.9, Apple Mac OS X 10.4.x, and Apple Mac OS X 10.5.x. It is conferred with 1 year warranty for service and support.

The included softwares are print drivers and installation software on CD-ROM: HP PCL 5e, HP PCL 6, Postscript, Postscript Printer Description files, HP LaserJet Utility (Mac) and Macintosh software.
