Epson Kindle Fire Compatibility Heats Up
Last Updated on June 15, 2020 by Christian Ralph
Epson have entered the e-book printing arena with the announcement of their plans to support mobile printing for several of Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablets and digital readers.
One of Epson’s chief mobility heads was quoted as saying, “Amazon just gave mobile productivity a huge boost, enabling Kindle Fire users to go beyond leisure and entertainment and use their tablets to stay connected and get the job done,”. This new capability allows Kindle users to print documents and photos across a wireless network to a compatible Epson printer, greatly increasing productivity.
If you’re interested in taking advantage of Epson’s & Amazon’s printing collaboration you’ll need two things. Firstly either a Kindle Fire HD or Kindle Fire HDX tablet complete with the free Amazon Fire OS 3.1 update.
Secondly you’ll require an Epson printer which is compatible with Epson’s patented Connect technology. Don’t be fooled into thinking that compatible models are few and far between, at present there are 60 Epson printers which are capable of printing from Amazon Kindles.
Epson’s choice to incorporate wireless printing from Amazon Kindles marks a step forward for both brands and is a more than welcome boost to office and home productivity.
